What are refractive errors?

A kind of vision problem that makes it difficult to see clearly is refractive error. They occur when your eye's shape prevents light from properly focusing on your retina (a light-sensitive layer of tissue in the back of your eye).

The most typical kind of vision issue is refractive error. A refractive defect affects many Indians, yet most are unaware that they could be seeing more clearly. Because of this, eye checkups are crucial.

If you have a refractive defect, your eye doctor (best eye doctor in delhi) can recommend contact lenses or glasses to improve your vision.

The most common refractive errors are:

Nearsightedness, or myopia, makes it difficult to see distant objects clearly;

Farsightedness, or hyperopia, makes it difficult to view up-close objects clearly;

Vision distortion brought on by an abnormally curved cornea, the transparent covering of the eyeball, is known as astigmatism.

Presbyopia is a condition that practically everyone develops as they get older that makes it difficult to read or see objects far away.
